On Thursday, August 18, 2016, Ms. Elliott's 4th grade math class created manipulatives in order to learn place value. Students worked in groups to create a modified flip chart that indicates place value.

Ms. Elliott also added a very creative reading station that is used for when she is facilitating stations during independent practice or for when students finish their work early. The station includes a variety of fiction and non-fiction books as well as books of all content areas.

A featured element of the reading station is the bench made from colorful crates that allows students to store their shoes when they need to get comfortable while they read. Ms. Elliott created this station to help students who are struggling readers to get motivated to read. So far it wi working great! Great job Ms. Elliott!
