On Saturday, April 16, Bethune-Bowman Saturday Academy students participated in a math lesson using Schoology. Schoology is a Learning Management System that provides all instructional, assessment, and interactive features a teacher would need to facilitate a paperless lesson. Not only does Schoology instantly grade student submitted assessments, but it also sends the scores to the gradebook and mastery tracker in order for the teacher to analyze the data and provide immediate intervention. Schoology also provides a social component where students can not only participate in class discussions through comments submitted on topics or questions during the lesson, but the teacher can also assign scores to these comments in order to check for understanding as well as monitor participation. Schoology works on any device and is accessible wherever there is internet connection.
